Ecodemocracies are free and fair

Ecodemocracy includes all people

who are its members,

and aspires to freedom and fairness

in how it does so.

This is not the artificial imposition

of a fictitious social contract –

one that fantasizes perfect, transcendent equality,

blind to any possible future differences and happenstances

at the starting-point of a civil society.
