What makes ecodemocracies work?

Naturally we form together in some storied relationship based on the particular ways we depend – the times and places we are in shaping our embodiment and culture.

In a well-functioning eco-democracy, these relationships of mutual dependence flourish in wise care that clearly recognizes all others as kin – human and nonhuman beings sharing a particular experience of the world.

The always-porous, mutually dependent bounded entities forming particular eco-democracies are formed in amity, with sensible attention to each one's oikos and to all the other bounded, cultured organisms bound to one another by shared care for the resources on which its families depend.
